The goal of this web site is to provide information about Naval Mine Warfare.

Having spent the past thirty years involved in naval mine warfare I have accumulated a significant amount of information on a whole range of topics, ranging from war stores about what it is like to be in a live minefield to complex probabilistic mathematical calculations that attempt to assess the risk of transiting a potentially cleared minefield.

I thought I would share some of this information for those like minded naval mine warfare “nerds” to enjoy, and perhaps find useful in improving both the art and science of Naval Mine Warfare.

This site is consists of two major sections, firstly, it is a series of articles, and secondly, a reference of both historical and current information about Naval Mine Warfare.
